Welcome, weary travelers of the Web...

Hi! I'm Robin! Thanks for visitng my portfolio. If you're wondering what kinds of skills I can offer you, consider my talents to be like  huge buffet plate - a little bit of everything, and it all tastes pretty good.

Born in the small town of Beaumont, Texas, I eventually realized that the rural life just wasn't for me, and I was destined to be a city slicker. As such, I've spent most of my life in the greater Houston area, enjoying its food, music scene, and nightlife. I currently can be found skittering around the Memorial City area - you'll probably see me eating some fajitas at one of the area's many delicious Tex-Mex restaurants.

Because my hometown was so lackluster, my interests developed not from my surroundings, but from the media I consumed on television - namely, cartoons. Everything from Rugrats to anime inspired me to pick up a crayon and start drawing. A love of books inspired me to develop stories to go along with my art. Over the years, drawing stayed more of a hobby while my writing and proofreading skills turned into a profession. However, I still write personal pieces to keep my creative voice fresh - and to entertain my friends.

In addition to watching a ridiculous amount of TV, I've also been scouring the Internet since my younger days. Witnessing the heyday of Flash animations and the Geocities boom, my time spent coding pet pages on Neopets eventually turned into a lifelong fascination with web design.

Along with that, hours spent chatting on fandom forums developed into fascination with today's social media platforms. I enjoy the challenge of tailoring creative content to each site's specifications... including their dastardly, seemingly-indecipherable algorithms.

If you want to work with someone who's spent most of their life immersed in digital media creation and the evolution of the Web, you know who to call. Or e-mail, preferably. Like most millennials, phone conversations aren't really my thing. Sorry!
